The list of all of our services is quite large since we can provide support for hardware and software going back 25 years or more which totals thousands of possible combinations. The listings below will give you an idea of what we've done and can do. Chances are your needs fall directly on or somewhere in between items on this list. Data Conversion Data conversion involves getting data from one place to another (Import/Export). This can include one or more processes of getting data from one database to another, from one medium (tape, disk) to another and/or from one format to another.
Data Transformation Occasionally, once the data is extracted it may require some changes before it's imported into the new format. An example may where the "year" field was stored as two-digits and now has to be four-digits. Data Transfers New computer? New User? Some times all you need is to move your information intact from one place to another. This process is routine for us and can be done safely and quickly. Database Repairs There are a number of reason why a database may become inaccessible or corrupted. Each situation is usually different although we have seen many issues which are common and can be identified quickly. Database Creation/Modification Some clients start keeping lists, etc. on Excel or Word and then need a database where they can sort, run reports, ect. on the information. We can create this database program for you and make it accessible from your pc or via the web. Additionally, we can make changes to existing databases. An example may be the need for an older database to have an email address field or cell phone field. Data Add, Updates and Deletes As discussed in Data Transformation above, sometimes an existing database needs hundreds or thousands of records to undergo a global change. For example, you may need to split up one large segment into multiples. You just specify your rules and we'll do a global update which will change all your information in one pass. What can take you days or weeks to do manually can be completed in a day or so. Automation If you frequently get a data feed from a partner or data provider, we can set up a process which converts the data and then makes it accessible as needed. This works great for when the data and process does not change and can save you money. Data Entry Have tons of information on paper, business cards, etc.? We can get this information into your existing or new systems for you. Sometimes this information will be scanned and other times it will be manually entered. Either way our Quality Assurance (QA) processes will ensure your information is loaded correctly. |
